My core expertise is computational and experimental mechanics including finite element analysis, design and implementation of multiscale mechanical tests, and material model calibration.
As a researcher, I have borrowed tools from various disciplines such as mechanical engineering, biomechanics, cell biology and microscopy to develop predictive models that simulate the complex mechanical behavior of biological materials and elucidate the mechanical blueprints of designs found in nature.
I am passionate about creativity and innovation and seek new challenges. I consider the application of artificial intelligence in physics-based modeling and image analysis to be the next frontier.
